HTTP Version

⚡️ SpeedVitals allows the selection of HTTP Version for the test. Currently, we support both HTTP/2 and HTTP/1.1.

By default, HTTP/2 will be used for every test.

You can select the HTTP Version by clicking the ⚙️ More Options Button on the Test Page.

Did you know

Unlike HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2 can load multiple resources in parallel, and this is why it is no longer recommended to combine multiple CSS Files or JavaScipt files into one.

HTTP/2 also supports HPACK compression technique that helps speed up Web Performance.

⚡️ SpeedVitals highly recommends adding support for HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 on your website to help boost the performance.

This setting can help you compare the performance benefits you can gain by switching to modern HTTP protocols.

If a Website doesn't support HTTP/2, ⚡️ SpeedVitals will automatically fall back to HTTP/1.1.
